Estimating Services

Bluebook International is the estimating system that we use for our estimating projects.

Why did HomeRun choose Bluebook International?

  1. The cost data is derived using research over the past 50+ years.
    • Since 1964, Bluebook has been publishing Residential Repair and Replacement Costs across the United States. Bluebook’s cost data is updated frequently and is based on many factors that include nationally researched labor rates, material and equipment costs, actual loss repairs, related contractor bids, and insurance claim audits.
  2. It has over 7,800 individual repair and remodel line item costs for a residential property across 42,000+ zip codes in the United States.
    • The data is compiled by zip code
      • Labor/materials in the Wilmington market is much different than Topeka, Kansas
  3. Over 7.6 million residential repair estimates have been created/modified through Bluebook solutions by homeowners, real estate agents, inspectors and contractors
  4. The costs are based on averages within the market
    • It benefits our clients by preventing HomeRun from overcharging for a particular operation
  5. Bluebook allows for selection of the “quality” of the parts, appliances and materials used for the project based on the following criteria:
    • Economy $ Economy / Basic Lower-end materials/appliances that can be found at major home improvement stores.
